Friday March 25, 11am-1230pm (pre-registration required)
Who can attend? Must be an Athletic Trainer (or Athletic Training Student) who works or lives in Mercer County, NJ
Location: Hybrid - In Person (New Jersey Athletic Club, 4152 Quakerbridge Road, Lawrenceville, NJ) or ATs can attend Virtually.
Seminar/Roundtable 11-12, followed by open forum/fellowship from 12-1230.
This seminar will be a resource for New Jersey Athletic Trainers to better understand what should be in their individual "Plan of Care". In order to practice under our state practice act, every Athletic Trainer in the State of New Jersey needs to have a signed Plan of Care in place with a "supervising physician", which needs to be reviewed, approved, and signed annually. ATs must be prepared, as every year the Board of Medical Examiners audits and receives complaints regarding AT’s Plan of Care.
Workshop objectives:
- ATs will be able to update their plan of care specific to them and their setting
- ATs will be able to recognize what should be included in their plan of care
- ATs will be able to communicate the ramifications of not having a plan of care
- ATs will gain a growing understanding of the "grey areas and concerns" of providing Athletic Training coverage.
