I am excited to join Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey. Rutgers Cancer Institute – the only National Cancer Institute-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center in NJ – is at the forefront of cancer research, offering state-of-the-art treatment to patients. As a medical oncologist, I specialize in hematologic malignancies including B and T cell lymphomas, plasma cell dyscrasias, as well as cellular therapies such as chimeric antigen receptor T-cells (CAR-Ts).

Prior to medical school, I attended Johns Hopkins University where I earned a PhD in Biology, studying the role of Wnts in peripheral nervous system development, after which I completed a post-doctoral fellowship studying the effect of anesthesia on neuronal development. My medical training was at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, followed by a residency in internal medicine at New York Presbyterian Hospital- Columbia University and a 3-year fellowship in hematology and medical oncology at Columbia University Irving Medical Center.

During fellowship, I explored the effects of combination epigenetic drugs including a novel agent, a histone acetyltransferase activator, in enhancing immunogenicity in germinal center derived lymphomas. For this work, I was awarded the 2022 American Society of Hematology Research Training Award for Fellows (ASH-RTAF) and the 2023 American Society of Clinical Oncology Young Investigator Award (ASCO YIA).

I look forward to being at Rutgers Cancer Institute, working with a dedicated team of clinicians and researchers, where I will continue my research while caring for my patients. I am well aware that a cancer diagnosis can be terrifying and overwhelming. I strive to provide the highest standards of care with empathy and compassion.
