Yekaterina Kim, MD

Yekaterina Kim MD, FACC is a Non-Invasive Cardiologist specializing in Multimodality Advanced Cardiovascular Imaging in the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center. Dr. Kim completed an accelerated 7-year BS-MD program at Sophie Davis School of Biomedical Education/SUNY Downstate, graduating magna cum laude. She went on to complete an Internal Medicine Residency at Montefiore Medical Center (Moses-Weiler) followed by a Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship at Yale New Haven Hospital/Yale University where Dr. Kim became passionate about Multimodality Imaging, 3D Echocardiography and Valvular Heart Disease. Dr. Kim stayed on at Yale New Haven Hospital to complete an Advanced Cardiovascular Imaging Fellowship. Dr. Kim is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Adult Echocardiography and Cardiac MRI.

To encourage patients to understand their illness, to provide latest evidence-based care and treatment, and to develop trusting relationships with patients and their families.

Procedures:

As a multimodality imager, I combine Echocardiography, cardiac CT and Cardiac MRI to help establish diagnoses and develop treatment plans. I also provide TEE guidance for structural interventional procedures.
