Director Women’s Health Clinic Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital

Dr. Yanting Wang joined the Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital (RWJUH), an RWJBarnabas Health facility, as of Sept. 29, 2023. She earned her medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, followed by internship and residency training in internal medicine and women’s health at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) and Magee Women's Hospital, respectively. Subsequently, she pursued her cardiology fellowship at Yale New Haven Hospital/Yale University, where she received specialized training in cardio-obstetrics and women's cardiology, so it is no surprise that she has particular interest in women’s cardiovascular health.

Her areas of expertise are in the management of peri- and postpartum hypertensive disorders, pregnancy in patients with structural heart disease, microvascular dysfunction, and the treatment of cardiovascular disease in post-menopausal women and patients with autoimmune diseases.

The recipient of Yale’s Fellows as Medical Educator (FAME) award (2021) and the Leo H. Criep Senior Award in Medicine from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine (2016), as well as the 2010 recipient of the Paul J VanDemark Memorial Scholarship and Cornell Howard Hughes Summer Research Scholarship, both from Cornell University, Dr. Wang is a confident and highly regarded physician.

Prior to joining Rutgers, Dr. Wang was a staff cardiologist at Hackensack Meridian Health’s Jersey Shore University Medical Center. A passionate educator, she taught and mentored cardiology fellows and internal medicine residents in this role. She is committed to advancing cardiovascular medicine and advocating for women’s heart health.
