    Bio

    Dr. Phatak is the Chair of Radiology at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center and the Medical Director of the Radiology Service Line at Robert Wood Johnson Barnabas Health. He obtained a BA in chemistry and physics at Harvard College and an MD/MBA at Columbia University followed by dual residencies in pediatrics (CNMC) and radiology (NJMS) and fellowship training in pediatric radiology (CHOP). He is a devoted educator and has been awarded teacher-of-the-year twice by his radiology residents. He also serves as Vice Chair of the Institutional Review Board.
