    Dr. Mur is fellowship trained in advanced head and neck oncologic surgery with expertise in microvascular reconstruction. He received his medical degree from Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University in Philadelphia. Dr. Mur went on to complete his residency training in the Department of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery at Boston University Medical Center in Boston. He went on to complete a specialized fellowship training in advanced head and neck oncologic surgery and microvascular reconstruction at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. There he served as a clinical instructor and assistant professor at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.

    As a fellowship trained head and neck surgical oncologist and microvascular reconstructive surgeon, Dr. Mur treats a wide array of head and neck pathologies including those of the nasopharynx, oral cavity, oropharynx, larynx, skin cancer of the head and neck, salivary glands and thyroid/parathyroid glands. Furthermore, Dr. Mur has received special training in minimally invasive techniques, including transoral robotic surgery and transoral laser microsurgery.

    Dr. Mur has published in numerous peer-reviewed journals and has participated in many scientific projects including a nationally funded grant comparing the effects of tobacco and vaping products on the airway.

    Dr. Mur is fluent in English and Arabic. He is a member of the American Head and Neck Society, American Academy of Otolaryngology- Head and Neck Surgery, and Triological Society.

    Philosophy of Care:

    Dr. Mur’s philosophy of care involves the entire scope of treatment and beyond – from diagnosis to surgery, reconstruction, follow-up care and quality of life implications. Dr. Mur listens to patient concerns carefully and takes the patient’s specific needs and desires into account when devising treatment and follow-up plans.
