• Siddesh Gopalakrishnan MD is a board certified Child and Adolescent psychiatrist with a broad exposure to treating psychiatric conditions including depression, anxiety, psychotic disorders ADHD, autism, and OCD.

    He completed his medical school training and adult psychiatry residency at the University of Arizona-College of Medicine in Tucson Arizona. During training he worked with diverse patient populations including those present on the Tohono O’odham Native American reservation as well as the uninsured. He has had training in psychotherapy including CBT, DBT, and psychoanalytic approaches to mental health care.

    Dr. Gopalakrishnan completed his Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship at the University of California-Irvine in 2024. While completing his fellowship training, he also completed a 1-year psychoanalytic program at the Newport Psychoanalytic Institute for Infants, children and adolescents. He served as a chief fellow at the fellowship program, interfacing with faculty and administration at the University.

    Dr. Gopalakrishnan hopes to provide care with an emphasis on a biopsychosocial approach to understand not only the genetic and biological factors involved mental health issues, but also taking into account environmental influences, and psychologic factors that influence psychiatric presentations. His specific interests include autism spectrum disorder and transitional age youth (adolescents gaining independence and transitioning to adulthood).
