    Dr. Michelle Evans-Pontrelli is the Associate Program Director for the Infectious Diseases fellowship program at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center. Her special interests include management of infections in the immunocompromised host, including transplant recipients, opportunistic infections associated with AIDS/HIV, antimicrobial stewardship, and medical education.

    Dr. Evans-Pontrelli graduated from Brown University for her undergraduate education and Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University for her medical education. She pursued both her Internal Medicine residency and Infectious Diseases fellowship at the Icahn School of Medicine at The Mount Sinai Hospital, where she specialized in management of infections in the immunocompromised host, specifically organ and stem cell transplant recipients.
