A fellowship-trained cardiologist and cardiac interventionalist, Dr. Michael S. Huang has joined Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, Rutgers Health, and Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, an RWJBarnabas Health facility.
A two-time recipient of the New Jersey "Top Doctor" Award (2015, 2017), the 2017-2018 recipient of the Excellence in Teaching Award from the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School Medicine Residents and Cardiology Fellows, and, most recently, the 2023 recipient of the Presidential Recognition Award from the Philippines Nurses Association of New Jersey, Dr. Huang is well-liked by hospital staff, faculty, and fellows and has been admired for demonstrating a high degree of competency in health care skills, including complex cases in advanced heart failure.
In addition to cardiovascular medicine fellowship training at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, Dr. Huang completed fellowship training in interventional cardiology at Main Line Health System/Lankenau Medical Center. He received his bachelor of arts degree from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, followed by his medical degree from what is now Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed internship and residency training in internal medicine at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in 2005 and 2007, respectively, and was the Chief Cardiology Fellow in 2010.
