Michael Bimonte, MD

Michael J. Bimonte, MD, FACOG is chairman of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Jersey City Medical Center. Board certified in obstetrics and gynecology, Dr. Bimonte specializes in general obstetrics and gynecology and vaginal surgery.

Dr. Bimonte earned his medical degree from New Jersey Medical School in Newark, N.J. He completed his internship at New York Medical College in Valhalla, N.Y. and his residency at Metropolitan Hospital Center in New York City.

Born and raised in Northern New Jersey, Dr. Bimonte has practiced medicine in this area for 38 years – 33 of which have been spent in private practice. To this day, he still gets satisfaction from seeing a couple and their newborn child. In what he calls the most exciting specialty in medicine, Dr. Bimonte finds great fulfillment in overcoming challenges and resolving unexpected health issues through labor and delivery to ensure a healthy mother and baby.
