Lawrence S. Rosenthal, MD

Dr. Rosenthal is a board certified gastroenterologist who has special interest in colon cancer screening, gastrointestinal cancer, endoscopy, including endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) and ERCP, as well as pancreatic and biliary diseases. He has numerous publications on a variety of topics including colon cancer screening, EUS, interventional endoscopy, and pancreatic cancer, and has presented his research at many national meetings. He conducts ongoing research in endoscopic oncology and pancreatic tumors. He holds a grant from the Nussbaum Foundation of Cooperman Barnabas to support his efforts.
Dr. Rosenthal currently serves as the President of the New Jersey Gastroenterology and Endoscopy Society. He is a past honoree of the American Cancer Society’s Diamond Ball for his commitment to serving his patients in the fight against cancer.
Dr. Rosenthal graduated from Vassar College with honors and received his medical degree from the SUNY Downstate College of Medicine. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine-Montefiore Medical Center. After his Gastroenterology and Hepatology training, he completed an additional fellowship in Advanced Endoscopy at the Yale-New Haven Hospital. He has also served on the faculty of the Yale University School of Medicine.
Dr. Rosenthal is a recipient of the 2014 NJ monthly Top Docs award.
