Dr. Hong is a board-certified Obstetrician and Gynecologist. She completed her Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility fellowship at RMANJ in the Rutgers-Robert Wood Johnson fellowship program, is a graduate of the combined seven-year BA/MD program at Boston University, and completed her Obstetrics and Gynecology residency at the prestigious New York Presbyterian Hospital – Weill Cornell Medical Center. Having grown up in Bridgewater, New Jersey, Dr. Hong is excited and thankful to be able to give back to her home community.

Treating the patient as a whole is her patient care philosophy. She strives to provide innovative medical care and does so with a caring and compassionate manner. “It is a pleasure and honor to be trusted with the care of a couple at this significant time in their lives. The fertility journey that many couples experience can be all-consuming. Something that appears so easy for some can be so challenging for others. I am here to provide the medical support they need to succeed.” As a parent herself, Dr. Hong understands the great joy of having a child. She hopes to bring that happiness to the patients she cares for. Dr. Hong and her team not only stay up-to-date on the latest fertility techniques, they consistently contribute to the development of new and revolutionary approaches to reproductive care. Her methods help patients who had previous difficulty conceiving, even with help from their physician.

She has lead several large research studies and contributed to publications in top peer-reviewed fertility journals, including Fertility and Sterility and Journal of Assisted Reproduction and Genetics. Dr. Hong’s research interests include embryo culture in the IVF laboratory, comprehensive chromosome screening (CCS), endometrial synchrony, heritable genetic disorders, study of the human genome using neXgen sequencing, and diminished ovarian reserve.

Dr. Hong is one of the few reproductive endocrinologists in the nation who has trained in embryology. She finds this experience is crucial to improving patient care. “Not many people realize that providing the best possible outcome depends on ensuring that the embryo is properly cared for, each step of the way.” It takes an extensive team to make sure everything goes smoothly which is what makes RMANJ special. “Each talented team member; from our embryologists, research coordinators, and patient services team, to our financial counselors, and nurses, contribute to make RMANJ one of the best places in the world to come for reproductive care.” In her spare time, Dr. Hong enjoys catching up on reading and spending time with her family.
