    Philosophy of Care:

    Dr. Joseph Hanna is an Acute Care Surgeon board certified in General Surgery and Surgical Critical Care with additional certification in Hyperbaric Medicine. Clinical areas of expertise include the management of intra-abdominal sepsis, necrotizing pancreatitis, application of damage control concepts in emergency general surgery, and complex chest and abdominal wall reconstruction. His research interests include surgical system science, surgical quality and academic global surgery. In addition, he is exploring vulnerabilities and solutions to quality health care delivery in a data-driven approach using surgical system science and participatory action research concepts developed in the academic global surgery arena.
