Jessica Taff, MD

Jessica Taff, MD, is a triple board-certified Hematologist, Medical Oncologist, and Internist who founded the Coastal Hematology & Oncology Center. She was born and raised in Ocean and Monmouth Counties, and received her undergraduate and medical degrees at Georgetown University in Washington, DC. Dr. Taff went on to complete her residency at NYU Langone Medical Center in New York City, where she was selected to serve as Chief Resident in Internal Medicine. She also completed fellowship in Hematology and Oncology at NYU Langone Medical Center in New York City, where she was chosen to serve as Chief Fellow for Hematology/Oncology. While at NYU, Dr. Taff was honored as Hematology/Oncology Fellow of the Year and was selected to participate in a highly competitive research conference through the American Society of Clinical Oncology and American Association of Clinical Research. She also worked in the Bone Marrow Transplant Unit at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York, NY. Dr. Taff has an extensive research background and is well published both nationally and internationally on various cancer topics. She maintains active memberships in the American Society of Clinical Oncology and the American Society of Hematology, and remains involved in clinical research endeavors. Dr. Taff is currently seeing patients at Coastal Hematology & Oncology Center’s offices in Toms River and Forked River. She is also available for consultative services at Community Medical Center, Monmouth Medical Center Southern Campus, and Monmouth Medical Center. Dr. Taff is fluent in Spanish and welcomes the opportunity to provide multilingual care.
Philosophy of Care:
Dr. Taff became a hematologist/oncologist and founded the Coastal Hematology & Oncology Center with the mission of providing patient friendly care while offering the most advanced treatments of cancer and blood disorders to the Ocean County community where she grew up. She understands that a serious diagnosis is extremely daunting for patients and strives to provide comprehensive treatment while maintaining quality of life. Dr. Taff places high value on transparency, honesty, and dignity, and feels strongly that patients need to be informed about their options and play an active role in the decision and treatment process for cancer and blood disorders. She is committed to offering unparalleled patient care close to home and promises to always provide thoughtful compassionate care to her patients.
