A fellowship-trained cardiologist specializing in advanced heart failure and transplant cardiology, Dr. Jagpreet Grewal has joined Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, Rutgers Health, and Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital (RWJUH), an RWJBarnabas Health facility. Dr. Grewal earned his medical degree from Aureus University School of Medicine in 2015, where he received the Dean's Award for Overall Excellence. He completed his internship and residency training at Drexel University School of Medicine (Hahnemann University Hospital) in 2019. He later pursued fellowship training in cardiology at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center in 2022 and subsequently went on to complete additional training in advanced heart failure and transplant cardiology at the Medical University of South Carolina, which he completed in June. Dr. Grewal has made academic contributions to cardiology through publications and his involvement in clinical presentations at national conferences. Dr. Grewal brings an innate passion for medical education. He strives to provide an inclusive and comprehensive learning environment for fellows, residents, and students. Given the complexity of cardiovascular disease, he believes in a multidisciplinary approach to deliver the highest level of care to our patients. His interpersonal skills, ability to communicate and his kind-natured personality speak volumes for his warm bedside manners in dealing with patients.
