Dr. Wingfield completed his undergraduate education at Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia and is a graduate of Temple University School of Medicine. He completed his Internal Medicine internship and residency at New York Presbyterian Hospital – Weill Cornell Medical Center and General Cardiology training in Cardiovascular Diseases at Drexel University College of Medicine - Hahnemann University Hospital, where he also served as the Chief Cardiology Fellow. He returned to New York Presbyterian Hospital for Interventional Cardiology training. Dr. Wingfield practiced in the Hamilton and Trenton NJ area for 14 years serving several leadership roles at both Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Hamilton and St. Francis Medical Center in Trenton. These roles at RWJUH-Hamilton included; Chief of the Division of Cardiology (2013-2023), Cardiac Catheterization Lab Director (2012-2024), and Medical Staff President (2022-2024). Although an Interventional Cardiologist treating complex atherosclerotic disease of the cardiac and peripheral vessels, he has a focus on preventative health and community education. Philosophy of Care: Dr. Wingfield is a great communicator and an exceptional advocate for his patients. He also holds a background of being a middle school science teacher for 3 years prior to attending medical school. He continues to utilize this skill set learned to educate his patients and patient families making every patient his top priority. Publications |
Dr. Wingfield is also board certified in EndoVascular Medicine and holds a strong interest and practice in peripheral arterial and venous interventions. He performs procedures to restore and improve blood flow in the peripheral artery and venous systems. He also specializes in management of venous claudication, vein disease, and varicose vein therapy
