Douglas Gibbens, MD

Douglas Gibbens, MD is a board-certified radiologist who received his medical degree from University of Southern California, School of Medicine. He completed a surgical internship at Boston City Hospital and diagnostic radiology residency at Boston University Medical Center where he was chief resident.

He was fellowship trained in Nuclear Medicine at Boston City Hospital, Vascular /Interventional Radiology at Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School, and post graduate trained in PET/CT at Duke University Medical Center.

Dr. Gibbens joined Medical Radiology Group at Community Medical Center in 1995 and is currently the associate chairman of radiology at Community. He holds board certification from the American Board of Radiology with additional boards in Nuclear Medicine and Vascular / Interventional Radiology.

His special interests include vascular / interventional radiology, molecular imaging & therapeutics, and magnetic resonance imaging.

Dr. Gibbens has published over 30 peer reviewed articles, abstracts, and book chapters and has participated in many Food and Drug Administration research trials. His professional memberships include the Harvard Club, American College of Nuclear Medicine, American College of Radiology, American Roentgen Ray Society, Radiology Society of North America, Society Mucoviscidose, Society for Magnetic Resonance, and Society for Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology.
