• Dr. Unadkat received his medical degree from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his emergency medicine training at Long Island Jewish Medical Center, where he was elected chief resident. After graduating, he served as the Assistant Emergency Medicine Residency Director and is an assistant Professor of clinical Emergency Medicine at the Hofstra University School of Medicine. Dr. Unadkat also holds an advanced degree in health administration and policy from New York University. Over the past several years, Dr. Unadkat has been caring for patients in various settings including: urgent care, observation units, free standing ERs, large academic centers, and community hospitals. Currently, Dr. Unadkat is the Associate Medical Director of Emergency Medicine and Director of the Rapid Diagnostic Unit at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center. Dr. Unadkat is board certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine and is a Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians. Dr. Unadkat’s interests include observation medicine, emergency department operations, quality, satisfaction and medical education.
