    Dr. Patel is an orthopaedic surgeon who specializes in the treatment of sports injuries and performs arthroscopic and reconstructive surgery of the shoulder, elbow, hip, and knee. His clinical focus includes joint preservation procedures for patients who want to maintain an active lifestyle.

    Born and raised in Allentown, PA, Dr. Patel obtained his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, where he graduated magna cum laude and was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. He then completed his orthopaedic surgical residency at the prestigious NYU/Hospital for Joint Diseases. Following residency, he received an additional year of fellowship training in sports medicine at the renowned Kerlan-Jobe Orthopaedic Clinic in Los Angeles. During his fellowship, he served as an assistant team physician for the Los Angeles Lakers, Dodgers, Kings, Sparks, Anaheim Ducks, and the Loyola Marymount University teams, giving him experience in treating athletes at various levels of competition. He is currently a high school team physician and cares for athletes in the region.

    Dr. Patel has authored over 15 publications in a variety of orthopaedic journals and textbooks and has presented at numerous national meetings on topics related to sports injuries. He has a particular interest in the treatment of ACL injuries, cartilage restoration techniques, and advanced shoulder reconstructive surgery. Additionally, he performs the latest in cutting edge procedures including robot-assisted partial knee replacements, shoulder resurfacing arthroplasty, and hip arthroscopy for labral tears and impingement.
