    Chonyang L. Albert, MD, FACC, FHFSA is an advanced heart failure and transplant cardiologist at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital (RWJUH) in New Brunswick, NJ. She currently serves as the Medical Director of Left Ventricular Assist Devices (LVAD) and Mechanical Circulatory Support at RWJUH. She was also appointed the Chairwoman of the Cardiogenic Shock Committee at RWJUH. A graduate of Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania, she completed internship and residency at the University of Pennsylvania before completing cardiovascular medicine and advanced heart failure fellowships at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation. She served as an attending advanced heart failure and transplant cardiologist at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland. In 2023, she was named one of Cleveland’s Best Cardiologists by her peers in Cleveland Magazine. She joined RWJUH at in November 2023. She has academic interest in myocarditis, sarcoidosis, cardiogenic shock, LVAD, and mechanical circulatory support and has published in peer reviewed journals and presented her findings at national meetings.
