Maternal-Fetal Medicine is a sub-specialty of Obstetrics and Gynecology that provides care to pregnant women who have complicated pregnancies. The nine months of pregnancy are invariably a very special period in the life of parents-to-be, but sometimes it can also be a very stressful period. Complications can exist, or arise in the pregnant mother herself or in the developing fetus. My role is to guide these high-risk pregnancies towards their optimal conclusion and to provide the pregnant mother with the reassurance that she is receiving the best possible care. I believe in fostering an open and compassionate relationship with my patients, one in which they will be heard and never rushed, one in which we work together towards our goal of having a healthy baby and a healthy mother.
