• I am honored and privileged to be an adult heart surgeon at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and to have the opportunity to care for patients with heart disease. My goal as a surgeon is to perform complete anatomic repair of heart defects and surgical revascularization with as little surgical and physiologic insult as possible. I provide surgical care for all adult patients with coronary artery disease, valvular disease, aortic pathology, and patients with heart failure.

    My Research Interests:

The principal goal of my research is to improve the lives of patients with heart disease. In order to accomplish my objectives, I am involved in studies aimed at improving surgical outcomes. Specifically, I am identifying factors that contribute to higher morbidity and mortality after heart surgery. I also focus on patients who have heart failure devices to determine their advantages and potential risks.
