    Alison Grann, MD, Chair of the Department of Radiation Oncology, takes a special interest in the treatment and research of breast cancer and prostate cancer. Board -certified in radiation oncology, she has extensive expertise in various treatment options; including stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS), three-dimensional conformal radiation therapy (3D-CRT), intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT), and stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT).

    Committed to service in the community, Dr. Grann serves on the Board of Trustees for Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center and is a Clinical Assistant Professor in Radiation Oncology at the Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey, part of Rutgers Robert Wood-Johnson University Medical School. She also is the Director of Network Integration and Quality in Radiation Oncology for the Northern Region of RWJBH. Prior to Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center, Dr. Grann practiced at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in Manhattan where she worked in the Department of Radiation Oncology.

    Dr. Grann graduated cum laude from George Washington University in Washington, DC, followed by her medical degree at the George Washington University School of Medicine. She completed residencies in internal medicine at Harvard Medical School, Beth Israel Hospital in Boston, Mass., and in radiation oncology at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York, N.Y. where she served as Chief Resident. A thought-leader in the field of radiation oncology, Dr. Grann is committed to research and has served as principal investigator on several different clinical trials. In addition, she is a member of numerous medical organizations including: American Society for Therapeutic Radiology Oncology, American Society of Clinical Oncology, American Medical Association, Metropolitan Breast Group and Society of Breast Diseases. Dr. Grann has received numerous awards and honors and is consistently listed in “Top Doctors” in NJ Monthly Magazine, and New York Magazine, “Best Doctors in America” by Castle Connolly.
