Fire Safety House

The Fire Safety House (FSH) is a working classroom, focused on providing an increased awareness of common household fire and scald burns. The Fire Safety House is available from mid-April to November each year, weather permitting.

To make a reservation, follow the instructions below. Due to high demand, each school/organization may only reserve ONE day, and programs are limited to third-grade students only.

NOTE: Allow 20 minutes for a group of up to 20 children to tour the FSH. If Stop, Drop & Roll is being practiced, an additional 15 minutes may be needed. (All times are approximate).

Educational Requirements

    • an area of approximately 75 feet on a hard, flat surface with 12’ of height clearance
    • access to electricity, preferably a 20 AMP outlet.
