Epilepsy Centers
Adult and Pediatric Comprehensive Epilepsy Centers
The Adult and Pediatric Comprehensive Epilepsy Centers offer complete care
in eliminating or reducing seizures in adults and children with epilepsy
and other seizure disorders. The central focus is in caring for the whole
person coping with epilepsy and its complications. A broad range of related
programs meets the complex needs of patients and their families, including
intervention for memory disorders, developmental delays in both children
and adults, as well as social, occupational, behavioral and psychological
issues that can affect all aspects of life. Our interdisciplinary team
coordinates care while patients and families remain involved in all decisions.
Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center is accredited by the National Association of Epilepsy Centers (NAEC) as a level 4 epilepsy center. Level 4 epilepsy centers have the professional expertise and facilities to provide the highest level medical and surgical evaluation and treatment for patients with complex epilepsy.”
