The Northern Department of Cardiac Surgery at Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center (CBMC) is able to offer you the most comprehensive and compassionate care.
Our multidisciplinary team comprised of cardiologists, interventional cardiologists, radiologists, anesthesiologists and cardiac surgeons are experts in diagnosing and treating all cardiac valve syndromes and disorders. Historically, cardiac surgery has been performed as an open procedure, but over the years, minimally-invasive techniques have been developed to provide safe and effective alternatives.

As an elite cardiac center, Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center provides a full array of advanced cardiovascular services including off-pump “ beating heart” coronary artery bypass, transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR), mitral valve repair and MitraClip, minimally-invasive cardiac surgery, aortic surgery (aneurysms) and atrial fibrillation (ablation, atrial appendage ligation).
