Center for Sleep Disorders
Getting the Rest Your Body Needs
The Center for Sleep Disorders on the campus of Community Medical Center is fully accredited by the Joint Commission and the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM). It is dedicated to diagnosing and treating the wide array of problems that can interfere with restful, restorative sleep.
The first step in diagnosing a sleep disorder is consultation with one of our Board-certified sleep medicine physicians for a comprehensive evaluation, history and physical examination. Depending on the severity of your symptoms, an overnight sleep study – known as a polysomnagram – may be recommended. During this procedure, small electrodes are attached to the surface of your scalp, face and legs to record your sleep experience. For certain conditions a Home Sleep Apnea Test may be appropriate.
