Welcome to Women’s Health Unit Maternity Services
During this exciting and magical time, there’s so much to do and
think about. That’s why it’s never too early to start childbirth
education classes. We know how busy you are, so our classes are held frequently
at Community Medical Center in Toms River and at convenient locations
throughout Ocean County. All classes are taught by certified childbirth
educators. In person and virtual classes offered for your convenience. Join us!

Preparation is the key to a rewarding pregnancy, delivery and transition to home and parenting. Our comprehensive childbirth series includes everything you need to know about nutrition, labor and delivery and newborn care.
Prepared Childbirth Series
This series covers everything you need to learn about the process of labor, birth and delivery, and postpartum. You’ll learn to master relaxation techniques and breathing methods to help you progress through each stage of labor and birth.
Breastfeeding Services
Learn the benefits of breastfeeding to you and your baby, the importance of good nutrition, initiating breastfeeding, techniques and positions, problem solving and day-to-day management.
