The objectives of the Community Medical Center General Surgery Residency Program are to provide excellent graduate medical education in a supervised and an academic atmosphere that prepares the resident physician to practice comprehensive, scientific, safe, and cost-effective General Surgery.
The General Surgery residency program is committed to maintaining quality education for residents and to following the guidelines and policies of the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education, including the guiding core competencies.
Our graduates will develop excellent knowledge, practical skills, and attitudes required to provide independent patient-centered care in the specialty of General Surgery.
