LGBTQ Health Services

Business Resource Group (BRG)

At Clara Maass Medical Center, the PROUD Business Resource Group (BRG) is comprised of hospital employees, patients and community members assembled to provide strategic direction and oversight for LGBTQIA issues. Representatives participating on the PROUD BRG are cross-organizational to ensure a diverse array of team members inclusive of leadership, front-line employees, representatives from the community and patients who can offer insight to potential opportunities to expand and improve experience and services to employees, patients and the community.

Furthermore, PROUD serves as an advisory body to recommend support, services and insight to the hospital’s senior leadership to understand the complexities and nuances associated with diversity and to guide the priorities of all BRGs at Clara Maass Medical Center. The Council will advocate, inform, and monitor the hospital’s Diversity & Inclusion Plan as aligned with the Corporate Office of Diversity and Inclusion’s strategic pillars.

The goal of the PROUD BRG is to foster a safe, accepting, respectful, supportive, and inclusive gender loving workplace among the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and allies. Our goal is to drive business performance, provide support and resources to patients, families, and the surrounding communities, and also to provide organization-wide educational programs and sensitivity training to address all LGBTQ needs.
