Child Life Services at Children’s Hospital of New Jersey at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center aims to minimize the stress and anxiety that often accompany a hospital stay and medical procedures through therapeutic play, medical play, distractions, and working on coping skills. We can support your child and family throughout your hospital experience in the following ways:
- Minimizing anxiety and stress experienced by children, adolescents, and families in the medical setting
- Enhancing your child’s emotional, social, physical, and cognitive growth in the context of your family, culture, and your child’s developmental stage
