RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Medical Director of Burn Services at Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, New Jersey

RWJBarnabas Health, the largest integrated healthcare system in New Jersey, is seeking a Medical Director for the Burn Center at Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center, located in Livingston, NJ. The Burn Center at Cooperman Barnabas is the only state-certified burn treatment facility in New Jersey. The Burn Center is equipped to treat pediatric through geriatric burn patients with a full range of specialized services, including a dedicated outpatient department where individuals with small or minor burns receive treatment and discharged patients return for follow-up care.

The Medical Director will collaborate with the Administrative Director of the Burn Service to provide Clinical expertise and leadership, ensuring quality care aligns with hospital policies, regulatory standards, and accreditation guidelines. The successful candidate should expect to develop growth plans, review policy changes, and conduct community outreach with Transfer Center for burn-related patients. Additionally, the Medical Director will act as the spokesperson for the department and will play and integral role in developing all clinically related activities for the department.

Requirements:

• General Surgery, board certification
• Surgical Critical Care, board certification
• Burn experience (Burn Fellowship trained or 2 years burn experience, as required in the American Burn Association verification process)
• NJ license or eligible for licensure in NJ
