Rutgers Cancer Institute and RWJBarnabas Health, the largest integrated healthcare system in New Jersey, are seeking a BC/BE full-time Attending Physician. This opportunity is a chance to join a busy, well-established practice and work with a team of experienced physicians, reporting directly to the Chief of Transplant and Cell Therapy at Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey.
This is an ideal opportunity for an ambitious physician to join a high-volume practice and receive experience and guidance not available elsewhere and help grow our rapidly expanding services in northern New Jersey. The location of this role allows for easy access to New York City, Philadelphia, and the famous Jersey Shore!
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct a clinical practice of the highest standard of professionalism and in accordance with established benchmarks for quality, safety, and efficiency.
- Maintain clinical productivity by full participation in Division and Disease Specific Group clinical workload, including night and weekend call, and in accordance with established productivity benchmarks.
- Ensure timely billing and documentation for clinical services provided.
- Assist and share coverage responsibilities including weekend and holiday coverage in accordance with the Division policies.
- Actively participate in the development of clinical protocols and enrollment of patients to clinical trials.
- Participate in RCINJ disease specific tumor boards.
- Participate in teaching activities for medical students, residents and fellows as well as targeted lectures to attending physicians in your area of expertise.
- Participate in the recruitment of faculty, fellows and staff to the Division or Disease Specific Group.
- Participate in community and physician outreach programs as reasonably designated by the Chief.
- Participation in mandatory meetings required by the Rutgers Cancer Institute, the Hospital(s), the School/ Department and regulatory bodies.
- Attend to other responsibilities as reasonably assigned by the Chief.
Requirements:
- BC / BE in Oncology or Hematology with proven experience in blood and marrow transplants
