Outpatient Pediatric Services
The Children's Same Day Services center is a modern outpatient facility designed to provide comfortable and private care for young patients who need regular, non-cancer-related infusion therapies and light sedation procedures. The center addresses the growing need for specialized pediatric outpatient services in the community.
There are many infusion therapies available for children, including immunomodulators – substances that act on the immune system to encourage an immune response – which are being used for an increasing number of disorders affecting the immune system. The Same Day Services center serves children with a wide range of chronic pediatric conditions.
The Children’s Same Day Services center features five private treatment rooms, including a dedicated sensory room, designed to create a calming and supportive environment for children undergoing treatments that do not require an overnight stay.

Conditions We Treat
The Children’s Same Day Services center treats pediatric patients with acute chronic conditions including:
- Gastrointestinal disorders such as ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s disease
- Rheumatologic conditions such as juvenile rheumatoid arthritis
- Neurologic problems such as multiple sclerosis
- Antirejection therapy for kidney transplants and genetic, endocrine and blood disorders like sickle cell disease
Our Multidisciplinary Team
The Children’s Same Day Services center is staffed and supported by specialists who are highly trained in biologic and drug therapies delivered through infusion, alongside Child Life specialists who help decrease discomfort and stress using tools and distraction and coping techniques. The infusion center requires regimens delivered by a multidisciplinary team that is focused on the child’s comfort and safety.

The center’s private rooms offer families a space for individualized care. The sensory room provides a soothing and engaging environment to minimize anxiety and promote relaxation during treatment for children with spectrum disorders.

Hours
The center will be open:
- Monday to Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Extended hours until 7 p.m. on two rotating days each week
