A family packet, designed to prepare parents and soon-to-be big brothers and sisters for the arrival of a new sibling. Parents will learn tips to help manage their growing family. Big-brothers and sisters-to-be will receive an interactive workbook to express their feelings about the new sibling. For ages 3-10. Connect with other moms to share the joys and challenges of new motherhood. With group discussions and speakers we will address such postpartum issues as: sleep deprivation; staying at home or working outside the home; breast feeding; balancing baby’s needs with family’s needs; body image issues; functioning without any personal space; childcare issues. The facilitators are registered nurse/certified lactation consultants. No registration or fee is required.
