Hamilton Township, NJ, March 31, 2025 – Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Hamilton (RWJUH Hamilton), an RWJBarnabas Health facility, honored Ronald Ryder, DO, Cardiologist, and member of Hamilton Cardiology Associates (HCA), on National Doctors' Day for being a dedicated and compassionate health care professional and for his outstanding contributions to the field of medicine and unwavering commitment to patient care.
National Doctors' Day serves as a day to acknowledge the vital role that doctors play in the health and well-being of individuals and communities. Dr. Ryder was selected for this recognition for his exceptional skills and tireless dedication to improving health outcomes for patients at RWJUH Hamilton.
“Our doctors change lives every day, and they make a difference,” said Lisa Breza, RN, MSN, NEA-BC, Chief Administrative Officer for RWJUH Hamilton, as she welcomed everyone to the annual ceremony. “They support our entire team, help us to achieve our quality results, and make us who we are at RWJUH Hamilton.”
Dr. Ryder has earned the respect and admiration of colleagues, staff, and patients alike, and continues to set the bar for excellence in health care.
“Dr. Ryder has known and has worked with all of our previous honorees featured on the RWJUH Hamilton Physician Wall Honor, and I think that says everything about his commitment to this hospital, his commitment to the communities we serve, and the outstanding relationship he has with our physicians,” said Michael Pratico, Jr., Chair of the RWJUH Hamilton Board of Trustees.
Dr. Ryder was presented with his well-deserved plaque by Seth D. Rosenbaum, MD, MMM, Senior Vice President and Chief Medical Officer, RWJUH Hamilton, and Imran Fayyaz, MD, President of the Medical Staff, RWJUH Hamilton. Dr. Rosenbaum shared, “for over 30 years, Dr. Ryder has provided exceptional care to countless patients. While he has earned accolades in the medical field for his expertise and dedication, it is his compassionate approach that truly sets him apart. I am honored to present him as this year’s honoree.”
Upon accepting this prestigious recognition, Dr. Ryder commented, “Every one of the doctors on this wall is committed to their patients and has helped the hospital grow. I am honored to be a part of this today. He continued, “There is a famous quote by Maya Angelou that I try and live by — ‘I've learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.’” I think this is truly important in the field of medicine. I definitely chose the right profession to become a doctor, because I have always wanted to help people.”
National Doctors' Day is an annual observance celebrated across the RWJBarnabas Health system and helps serve as an important reminder of the critical role that physicians play in ensuring the health and well-being of individuals and communities.
