West Orange, NJ, January 8, 2025 RWJBarnabas Health, the largest, most comprehensive academic health system in New Jersey, was awarded with two Human Experience (HX) Awards from Press Ganey, the global leader in healthcare experience solutions and services.

Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital (RWJUH) was honored by Press Ganey as the top academic nursing program in the nation for outstanding nursing quality and fostering a culture rooted in improving patient safety and care.

As a winner of the Press Ganey HX National Database of Nursing Quality Indicators (NDNQI®) Award for Outstanding Nursing Quality® in the Academic Medical Center category, “RWJUH is setting the standard for innovation in nursing care,” said Nancy Holecek, Executive Vice President, Chief Nursing Officer of RWJBarnabas Health. “We are honored to receive this award that recognizes our exemplary nursing workforce and the culture of quality that we’ve created.”

As a winner of the Press Ganey HX Pinnacle of Excellence Award®, the Shyan Sun, M.D. Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center (CMBC) has ranked in the top 5% of healthcare providers in delivering exceptional patient experience.
