Local Businesses Exhibit Art Created by Pediatric Patients

New Brunswick, New Jersey, (October 8, 2024)Children’s Specialized Hospital (CSH) and CSH Foundation are partnering with local businesses throughout New Jersey to highlight the value of inclusion and acceptance through creativity. Businesses are exhibiting original artwork created by CSH patients to help spread awareness, promote inclusivity, and raise funds for CSH Foundation.

The purpose of Children’s Specialized Hospital is to provide world-leading, family-centered medical and rehabilitative care for children and youth with unique health challenges so every child can reach their full potential. By hosting an art exhibit, businesses are shining a positive spotlight on these local children while simultaneously supporting CSH.

“Celebrating our patients' artistic talents helps deepen the community's understanding and appreciation of the diverse abilities of children with special health care needs,” said Matthew B. McDonald III, MD, President and Chief Executive Officer, Children’s Specialized Hospital. “This exhibit only strengthens our commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive environment for all children and their families. We’re grateful to our community partners for standing beside us in this effort.”

Exhibits can be found at the following locations:

  • LeGrand Coffee House at 10 Green Street, Woodbridge, NJ
  • Fruit Republique Juicery at 1001 Stuyvesant Avenue, Union, NJ
  • Outta Hand Pizza at 311 South Avenue West, Westfield, NJ

“We’re thrilled to partner with Children’s Specialized Hospital on this initiative and showcase the immense talents of their patients,” said Eric LeGrand, owner of LeGrand Coffee House. “I know this art exhibit will have a positive impact on our patrons, promoting inclusion and acceptance for kids and families that need community support the most.”

“The amazing care that takes place at Children’s Specialized Hospital would not be possible without the support of our generous donors and organizations throughout the community,” said Alissa Memoli, President and Chief Development Officer at CSH Foundation. “Together, we are making miracles happen for children in need.”

Art exhibits can be found at local businesses throughout the month of October.
