RWJBarnabas Health hosted its Annual Sports Medicine Symposium titled, “Sports Medicine Trauma: Stat Pearls” on October 10, 2024. This program featured Super Bowl Champ and former NY Giant Shaun O’Hara. Program lectures were held by sports medicine experts including physicians and athletic trainers from across the RWJBarnabas Health Network. The physician panel was led by Jason Krystofiak, MD, CAQSM, Chief Of Sports Medicine for Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center, Head Team Physician for Rutgers Football, and Medical Director of the RWJBarnabas Health Matthew J. Morahan III Health Assessment Center for Athletes. The program also featured representation for an array of sports subspecialties including orthopedic sports medicine, primary care sports medicine, sports cardiology, sports psychology and athletic training who addressed a broad range of topics on sports trauma for management on and off the field.
