Oct 29, 2024 Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Hamilton’s Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program is a Breath of Fresh Air for the Community

HAMILTON TOWNSHIP, NJ, October 29, 2024 – Hamilton resident Elizabeth “Betty” Wade had always been active and enjoyed traveling with her husband Bill, until a chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) diagnosis resulted in her being oxygen dependent.

“I had smoked for more than 50 years,” says Betty Wade. “Then, five years ago, I started to experience shortness of breath, fatigue, and a lot of phlegm. That’s when I went to see my primary care physician, Arthur Pacia, MD, who diagnosed me with COPD.” Betty then began Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program at RWJUH Hamilton and saw improvements after just a few sessions. “The staff is wonderful and patient, and they answer all of my questions. I look forward to my appointments, and I can’t recommend this program enough,” adds Betty.”
