Hamilton Township, NJ, October 24, 2024 – Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Hamilton (RWJUH Hamilton), an RWJBarnabas Health facility, recently held ceremonies for its DAISY, IRIS and Provider of the Quarter awards, recognizing the outstanding and compassionate care provided by the hospital’s team members.
On September 18, RWJUH Hamilton held its DAISY and IRIS Award ceremony. The DAISY (Diseases Attacking the Immune System) Award is an ongoing recognition program that honors and celebrates the skillful, compassionate care RWJUH Hamilton nurses provide daily. The DAISY winners were chosen from among many submissions by patients, family members and co-workers. Amy Pellicane, MSN, RN, OCN, Director of the Cancer Center at RWJUH Hamilton, was the recipient of the DAISY Nurse Leader award, which celebrates nurses who lead with compassion, mentor their teams and foster an environment of compassionate care. Andi Aggarao, BSN, RN, Medical-Surgical Unit, and April Greene, RN, ICU, both were recognized with a DAISY award, and Evelyn Vazquez, a clinical care technician on Tele North, was the recipient of the IRIS (Inspiring Respect in Service) Award.

Additionally, on October 2, Atif Siddiqi, PA-C, an Emergency Department provider at RWJUH Hamilton, was named Provider of the Quarter. RWJUH Hamilton team members and providers submit their personal nominations for this prestigious award, recognizing medical staff who exhibit excellence in communication and collaboration. During the ceremony, Atif was recognized for being caring and compassionate, going above and beyond for every co-worker and his patients, and for being the “pulsating heart” of the emergency department.
