NICU nurse Taylor Thrunk has been named MMC Employee of the Month for October. Gathering with Taylor for the presentation are her NICU team and Human Resources and hospital leadership.
Long Branch, N.J., October 21, 2024 – NICU nurse practitioner Taylor Thrunk, who was praised for always having her babies and families in her heart, has been named Monmouth Medical Center’s (MMC) Employee of the Month for October. In nominating Taylor, her colleagues had these great things to share:
“Taylor always has a positive attitude. She offers to help new nurses learn the flow of the NICU by taking them to L&D for difficult deliveries and C-sections. Taylor started as a unit secretary in the NICU during nursing school and joined the NICU nursing team as soon as she graduated. Before long she was a seasoned nurse with admirable skills and sensitivity. She works in any role without complaints and always offers to do more and helps others. She has become our unit artist and ensures each baby has a design of foot prints, hand prints and names displayed on their cribs or isolates. Taylor always has her babies and families in her heart and forms a bond that sometimes last long after discharge. She is a true advocate for her babies in all aspects of their care. She also became a unit hero when she crossed the finish line in the New York Marathon. Taylor has an incredible personality and a contagious smile and is loved by all her co-workers.”
