CMC Honored as “Outstanding Community Partner” at Northern Ocean Habitat for Humanity Gala
Northern Ocean Habitat for Humanity (NOHFH) honored Community Medical Center (CMC) as an Outstanding Community Partner during their annual gala on October 10 at the Bay Head Yacht Club. For 25 years, NOHFH has been dedicated to revitalizing neighborhoods, constructing and repairing homes, and assisting local families in achieving homeownership. The hospital received recognition for its years of volunteer service and financial contributions to the organization.
CMC has collaborated with NOHFH on various initiatives aimed at fostering a healthier and stronger Ocean County. The hospital and its staff have volunteered their time to build or renovate homes, hosted a women's leadership event, and provided financial support for the annual Walk to Rebuild fundraising event. Additionally, RWJBarnabas Health provided funding for a study conducted by the Social Work Department at Georgian Court University, in partnership with NOHFH, which focused on the positive mental and physical effects associated with homeownership.
Patrick Ahearn, Chief Executive Officer of Community Medical Center, accepted the award on behalf of the hospital, expressing gratitude for NOHFH's ongoing collaboration and the opportunities it has created for CMC team members to engage in meaningful volunteer activities beyond the hospital's four walls.
