Long Branch, NJ, May 23, 2024 - Plastic surgeon Gregory Greco, D.O., FASCS, who serves as Chief of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and General Surgery Program Director, is Monmouth Medical Center’s (MMC) May Physician of the Month. Dr. Greco was praised as an invaluable asset to MMC’s surgical residents. Among the comments received in his nominations were:
“Dr. Greco’s ongoing teaching and support likely was the reason so many of our graduating residents have gone on to such success. I can think of no better physician who embodies the principles of surgical education and comradery as Dr. Greco.”

“Dr. Greco deserves the Physician of the Month Award. He has had a tremendous impact on countless students and residents throughout the years.”
Dr. Greco, who joined the MMC Medical Staff in 2002, has served as Chief of the Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery for nearly 15 years and recently served as President of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the world's largest organization of board-certified plastic surgeons. He also is the assistant program director for the General Surgery Program at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, the MMC teaching affiliate.
A dual board-certified plastic surgeon, he is a diplomate of the both the American Board of Plastic Surgery and the American Board of Surgery and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He specializes in full body cosmetic surgery and breast reconstruction.
