Manny Gonzalez, SHRM-SCP, has been named Vice President of Human Resources for Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, NJ, part of RWJBarnabas Health. In this role, he will be responsible for advancing recruitment, employee recognition and engagement, as well as professional and organizational development at Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center.

Most recently, since 2019, Mr. Gonzalez served as Vice President of Human Resources at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital (RWJUH). Throughout his tenure at RWJUH, he fostered an organizational culture that encouraged professional and leadership development and transparency.
Prior to joining RWJUH, Mr. Gonzalez was the Vice President of Human Resources at Holy Name Medical Center in Teaneck, NJ. He also held Human Resources positions at Hackensack University Medical Center and Bergen Regional Medical Center. Mr. Gonzalez brings a broad range of skills with a strong emphasis on employee relations, organizational and employee development, recruitment, compensation and benefits in addition to overseeing the daily management of the Human Resources Department.
Mr. Gonzalez earned a bachelor’s degree from Campbell University and a master’s degree from Montclair State University in Law and Governance with a concentration in alternate dispute resolution and governance/compliance. He is a proud Veteran of the United States Marine Corps, having served for the Piedmont Judicial Circuit-Navy-Marine Corps Trial Judiciary.
