Newark Beth Israel Medical Center’s Division of Cardiology welcomes Eman Rashed, MD, PhD. Dr. Rashed will be joining our Advanced Heart Failure Treatment and Transplant team, specializing in the management of patients with heart failure, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, and multisystem disorders such as amyloidosis and sarcoidosis.
Her clinical interest is in Cardio-Obstetrics and Dr. Rashed will be working with our Maternal Fetal Medicine Division to coordinate and develop a program to care for women with pregnancy-related heart disease, a welcome addition to our clinical services in the region and the state.
Dr. Rashed earned her medical degree and doctorate from Rutgers New Jersey Medical School (NJMS). She completed her internal medicine residency at NJMS, where she spent an additional year as Chief Resident. She subsequently completed fellowships in Cardiovascular Disease at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York, NY, and Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania.
Dr. Rashed has authored numerous papers in peer-reviewed journals.
