The Neuroscience team at the ACC and JCC offer multiple resources for Parkinson’s patients. We have a dedicated team to help coordinate these resources for patients. Please contact a member of Dr. Rabin’s clinical staff for assistance with coordination of care:

Jennifer Moon is a certified social worker that assists Dr. Rabin, Dr. Feinstein and Viky Busko, APN, with coordinating care for patients within the center.

Physical and Occupational Therapy | 973-322-7500
Speech Therapy | 973-322-6333
Physical therapy (PT) provides therapeutic exercises that can address strength and flexibility, as well as decrease pain and stiffness. Occupation therapy (OT) targets improving PD patients’ motor function, coordination, balance, and other aspects of daily living. Speech Therapy (SLT) helps assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders.

Maryann Porosky is a licensed social worker who facilitates virtual support group meetings for Parkinson’s patients and caregivers. The patient support group meets the 1st and 3rd Friday of each month, the caregiver support group meets the 1st and 3rd Monday of each month, and the early onset support group meets the 1st Tuesday of each month.

Lorenzo Salcedo joined RWJBarnabas Health as an Exercise Physiologist in 2015 and became a Rock Steady Boxing certified coach in 2017. Lorenzo is Supervisor of the Center for Health and Wellness and has worked as an Exercise Physiologist for the past 13 years. He currently supervises and leads the Risk Factor Modification, Cancer Wellness, Joint Instability, Diabetes and Parkinson’s clinical exercising programs.

Lorena is a certified personal trainer at the JCC MetroWest in West Orange. She is the instructor of Parkinson’s Strength, an exercise program for patients with PD, designed to strengthen, tone, and improve flexibility. Parkinson’s Strength is offered weekly on Wednesdays at 2 p.m. at the JCC. Lorena specializes in working with seniors and those with neurologic diseases to improve quality of life.
