Hamilton Township, NJ, April 1, 2024 - Lisa Breza, RN, MSN, NEA-BC, Chief Administrative Officer for Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Hamilton, an RWJBarnabas Health facility, and on behalf of hospital Senior Leadership, announced the promotion of Meghan McCord-Zaro, RN, BSN, MSJ, CPHRM, to Vice President of Quality, Patient Safety and Risk Management, effective April 1, 2024. In her new role, Meghan will be responsible for quality, patient safety, accreditation activities, disease management, patient experience and will continue to have oversight of her current responsibilities.
Meghan most recently served as Assistant Vice President of Risk and Regulatory Compliance at RWJUH Hamilton, where she was responsible for claims and litigation management, and insurance compliance and reporting. She also had oversight of the Medical Staff Office, the root cause analysis process and serves as the hospital’s Privacy Officer. Meghan has been with RWJUH Hamilton since 2019. She will continue to report to Seth Rosenbaum, MD, MMM, Senior Vice President and Chief Medical Officer, RWJUH Hamilton.

Meghan’s healthcare career has spanned more than 25 years, with clinical experience in hospital and ambulatory settings, surgical office practice, surgical and neurocritical care, peri-operative services and endoscopy. She brings a wealth of experience and expertise in quality, patient safety, risk management, patient relations, regulatory compliance, occupational health and safety. She has had a successful career in which she has initiated High Reliability Organization (HRO) principles, increased occurrence reporting, opened new licensed healthcare facilities, launched and implemented software platforms for processes such as occurrence reporting, contract management, and EMR’s, and negotiated medical malpractice and healthcare facility insurance contracts.
Meghan graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Penn State University and holds a Master of Science in Jurisprudence from Seton Hall Law School where she majored in Healthcare Law and Intellectual Property. She is a Certified Professional in Health Care Risk Management.
