Violet Kramer, M.D., has been named MMC Physician of the Month for April. Presenting the award is Chief Medical Officer Kenneth Granet, M.D. They were joined for the presentation by Intensive Care Unit team members and hospital leadership.
Long Branch, NJ, April 25, 2024 – Pulmonologist Violet Kramer, M.D., a pulmonologist and critical care physician who serves as director for Monmouth Medical Center’s Intensive Care Unit, is the hospital’s April Physician of the Month. Dr. Kramer was praised as a physician who is the definition of human kindness. Among the comments received in her nominations were:
“Dr. Kramer has a gentle approach to all of her patients. She encompasses patients’ spiritual and psychosocial needs within their plan of care during their hospital stay. This gentle nature is not be mistaken as a weakness but rather her strength. She is fierce in her determination to help her patients recover from their disease processes. Her compassion is felt by the patients and families alike, as evidenced through leadership rounds and discharge patient callbacks. Dr. Kramer always strives to improve on care delivery to ensure positive patient outcomes. She is a valuable member of the ICU team and our biggest cheerleader. The ICU is a much better environment for our patients because of her presence and guidance.”

Dr. Kramer, who joined the MMC Medical Staff in 2010, also serves a Chair of the hospital’s Ethics Committee and Medical Director of the Grunin Simulation Center.
