During Celiac Awareness Month, Michelle Pasia, MPH, RDN, a dietitian and coordinator of the Kogan Celiac Center, shares with us a simple and creative way to build a healthy gluten-free meal bowl.
- Include healthy gluten-free grains such as quinoa, brown rice, and gluten-free crackers.
- Add at least 2 cups of vegetables such as leftover roasted vegetables, thawed frozen vegetables or some salad greens.
- Add protein such as beans, grilled chicken, edamame, canned salmon or an egg.
- Top it off with some healthy fats such as a half of an avocado, a quarter cup of seeds or some nuts.
